RE: Buying a JT Strongarm

I ordered from Tweety's at $299. They told me they were on back order and even called me to tell me the same thing, but they still arrived in 4 days. Rev

RE: Lake George RV Park

I'm sitting at Lake George RV Park right now. Been here since last Saturday. Leaving this coming Saturday. So much to do here!!! Probably the nicest park we have ever been to. During the day, sure there are kids out playing. But at night, it's dead calm. Very nice, and even at this price, we will be back for more!!! Rev

RE: JT's installed today

I ordered mine from Tweety's and paid $299. I ordered them on June 22, Even though their website said they were on backorder till the 30th, I still had them within 3 days. I had even received a phone call from them saying they were on backorder. They still got there in record time. 3 days from order to receipt wasn't bad at all. Good advice on setting the rear first!! RE: When to buy F450?

I agree with "Capt Skup". Mine is a fully loaded King Ranch with the 4.88's. Not to beat the band here, but who buys these vehicles for the fuel mileage?? If worrying about a couple miles to the gallon is a huge concern, then don't buy the vehicle. I bought this truck to pull my camper, and pull it comfortably, period. Without stepping up to a medium duty truck, I don't think you will find a better tow vehicle. This is the best truck I have ever purchased and it does everything I want or need it to do, and it doesn't even break a sweat doing it(camper is 14K loaded). Good luck with your search. I hope you get what you want. Rev

RE: JT's installed today

Well, I removed the spare tire and cut the welds for the one piece of steel in the front that the tire pulled up to(I left the rear one as the LP pipe mounts to that one), and removed it. The spare tire has temporarily been relocated to the bed of the truck, in front of the hitch....... Rev

RE: JT's installed today

Nothing tricky, just time consuming. Between crawling back out from under the camper to go back to the garage to get more drill bits(broke 3 1/8" bits) and heading to the store to buy a 3/8 tap(the supplied self tappers wouldn't cut the frame), about 2 hours for the front and about an hour for the rear. Now that I know how to do it, I could easily cut that in half now. I have a couple more pics if anyone needs them for install purposes. Rev

JT's installed today

I just installed my JT's Strongarm Stabilizers today that I purchased from Tweety's. Wow, they are incredible. Thanks to all of you on this site for your wealth of knowledge. Thanks to you, my camper is rock solid now. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa152/NoPlugs/camper/Picture001.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa152/NoPlugs/camper/Picture002.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa152/NoPlugs/camper/Picture005.jpg Rev

RE: NASCAR disappointment at Darlington

TerryAllan, I completely understand what you are saying. I guess I get numb to it because I have watched every professional sport that we have, go in the same direction. I grew up in the early 70's just in awe of NASCAR. Yes it has changed drastically, but I still have that initial crave for the sport that I had 40 years ago. We go and camp at the tracks more for the interaction with friends and fellow campers who also enjoy NASCAR. We spend more days camping there then anything else, going several days before a race and staying a couple after a race. I guess it is about the whole package for me, not just the race....... Rev

RE: NASCAR disappointment at Darlington

TerryAllan, You can't be as oblivious to this as your response indicated..........We(all American people), control everything. We decide what we want to see, and who is popular, and how neurotic we are as a people, and how scared we are of the "bad people", etc....The list goes on and on. We have made the people in professional sports, icons, and we have forced the salaries to balloon.........aaaahhhhh, when will it stop? Just be logical and think about it. I'm not saying it is good, I just think we need to stop blaming the "other guy"............. Rev

RE: NASCAR disappointment at Darlington

I agree to a certain degree.........BUT, WE have made it this way. From a personal level, some of the people are the same. I have a condo in Daytona. Well, Richard Petty has a condo in my same building. One day we were out on the balcony when Richard Petty pulled into his parking spot. We hollered at him and he waved at us and told us to come on down. He waited for us and talked to us for about 20 minutes. Just jawing with us and signing anything we wanted. He was a super nice guy who spent all the time we wanted with him. Before you knew it there were 20 or 30 people from the building crowding around him. He was a true gentleman. It's us, the fans who change this sport. Just my 2 cents.......... Rev
